Angel Edwards Santos founded The Mindforge Research Institute and leads its research as an independent researcher. His work focuses on correlations between space weather phenomena and terrestrial human systems, with current investigations examining how heliophysics-derived indices relate to population-level health outcomes, financial market dynamics, and infrastructure performance.
He leads the development of the Planetary Dynamics Index (PDI), a composite index synthesizing solar, geomagnetic, and cosmic ray data into a unified measure of space weather state. His current research explores correlations between heliophysics-derived indices and population-level health outcomes.
